Away in a MangerAway in a Manger Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, the little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head. The stars in the sky looked down where he lay, the little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, but little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes; I love thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky and stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.
Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay close by me forever, and love me, I pray; bless all the dear children in thy tender care, and fit us for heaven to live with thee there.

You mean telly still shows Jesus stuff at Xmas and Easter where you be? They stopped doing that in Australia last century. As for cards, finding a Jesus or Bible theme one is like finding a flower on Mars, unless you go to a religious store. It's all commercialism these days.

no really now that i think about it it's been years since i've seen anything relating
to Christmas or Easter on TV except cartoons of frosty the snowman and santa,
i agree they have turned the holidays too commercialized and it sounds like it's a global thing
i hope through artworks we can still keep the real spirit of Christmas and other holidays alive
