Description
A self fantasy portrait of myself as a mermaid completed for a online fantasy art show over at the FAE a wonderful fantasy community i belong to
Initially i was unhappy with this i wanted to do something bigger and better
but unfortunaley dont have much enough time in my hands lately
and managed to finish this little painting.
Worked in mixed media it has a little bit of everything
colored pencils,acrylics,gouage and a bit of pastels.
The little boat i'm holding is an actual keepsake i picked
up from the greek island Thasos last time i visited,i love
boats ,shells i have a big collection of them
Hope you like it and sorry for not being around much

The hair is really something, and I love the details on the boat. I am partial to ships and the sea myself, and this is all very lovely. Great job as usual!

i basically used colored pencils some pastels over colored pencils to bring out the colors and the water gave me the most trouble so i decided to use gougache and white acrylic mostly for the waves
