Description A lovely mermaid underwater,
actually this is a very good DA friend Nina Larsen
who wanted me to draw her as a mermaid-
please visit Nina's beautiful photo gallery she is a very
talented photographer

Art wise this was a very challenging pose for me to draw
and the hair
took me forever to finish.
At first I tried painting this in color
and i messed up big time so i decided to
do it over with
my graphite pencils
I'm my worst critic at times and wish i could
have done better but lately
i have been
challenging my art with more
difficult poses/drawings and
at least I'm happy about that

thank you laura so much!! just visited your site and saw of your sketches they are really good!!! my favorite drawing tips are starting off with a good sketch which you already have,using good materials like good paper like bristol board or vellum ,start shading light and build up layers slowly,use a kneaded eraser for highlights and tissue paper for blending these are all i can think on top of my head at the moment
