If you've been following, you'll see that
This is... uh, pretty late in the making. TBH, I'm probably going to make some adjustments but only because I feel the outfit could use some embellishments and I'm trying to reconcile them with Link's character.
I thought about the sword/shield strap but it was off-putting. If anyone has suggestions, please link to some images or references!

I really like this, though I think the outfit doesn't fit very well. The tunic seems to stretch and doesn't seem natural, so maybe add some creases or try doing to sword and shield, I think it'll fit. The chainmail looks off too, I think because the ends look more like they're hovering rather than being continued under the tunic. Also, the shoulders don't really fit the perspective, which, now that I think about it, is probably the main issue here.
Other than that, I think you did a good job! Love the hair, its hard to make short hair look nouveau.

Yes, I agree about the outfit. I've been messing with it but each time I do, it just looks really off. I've got to fix the shoulder a bit but I think the biggest issue is the large expanse of green about the chest/shoulders. I'm trying to keep from adding creases mainly for aesthetic reasons but I'll probably add a rougher hewn texture to the tunic. Great point about the chainmail but I'm pretty tired of it right now. It definitely needs more shadow but it'll be a while before I feel up to trying to reconstruct the individual links.
I'll give the scabbard strap another go but we'll see. :/
