The music of the ghost musician will always be a comfort for those who know how to listen...I felt like drawing something dreamy and melancholy... and ended up illustrating my own fairy tale. Another violinist... I have way too many of those in my gallery.
I haven't painted for fun in way too long... I forgot how wonderful it is. I've had thoughts of giving up on art - I'm far too incompetent and not getting very much better - but I don't think I can do that...Acrylics and ultramarine ink on watercolour paper... It wouldn't fit in my scanner, and the camera messed up the colours. It made everything uniform blue, and you can't see the greenish and purplish tones. Oh well... never min the purples and greens the pic remind of the days i have spent in moonlight listening to music. the atmosphere is intense especially the moon behind the trees.

This is a fantastic painting. Very well done indeed!!!
Scanning or photographing art is very difficult to do properly as it is difficult to reproduce colors exactly. You might consider investing a little bit of money and have a professional photograph it.
Far from incompetent. This is truly haunting. You should paint a flute player some time. Paint for fun as much as you can. That's when your passion for what you're doing comes through and it will show in your work.
