I'm amazed at the stuff I'm finding I thought that was lost.... YAY for the box I found! I guess I must have transferred some of these from my high school papers to another box... it must have been fate.

When I was really young I used to love the peanuts and would endlessly draw snoopy doing snoopy type things. When Sunday morning would come I would race for the funny pages. A lot of the humor I didn't get but it didn't matter, I just loved all those wonderful cartoons and would spend hours with some paper and a pencil trying my best to emulate so many of those characters. When I would go to the librabry I would get books bout the history of cartoons, where I learned about those long forgotten classic like Krazy Kat, and Little Nemo in Slumberland. I dreamed of having my own comic in the newspapers. The problem is, I do not have the mind sharp enough or bright enough to come up with a gag a day.... and with the format of comics in the papers it's more or less pointless to try to do any kind of action or a story driven format like in the old days when they would give a comic a full page (we're not talking one page for a bunch of comics.. we're talking one page FOR ONE STRIP!!!)

I can't say this is a proper representation of my humor.... I was much younger and trying to cater to a broader audience, stars in my eyes about becoming a syndicated cartoonist. THat did NOT go as planned.

Anyway, the top one is kind of based on a real life event. And YES it's supposed to be ME. The bottom is more slice of life but kind of meh. So here for your amusement and my embarressment are a couple of examples of my comic strip that I had no name for! SQUISHES everyone!!!!
