This is the model based off of the Chupacabra concept art. I really had fun taking this guy all the way through the process from beginning to end. Trevor Howell did the sweet animation on this fella.Related content

At first I thought it was a raptor, then I got a closer look and saw it was more like one of those pesky Skelks that like to pwn my poor lil Ranger. Seeing the details of this guy up close, I realize just how fierce and rather nasty they are... XD

It's funny a little bit because we later reused the rig for a raptor.

Aaah, so it was the Skelk design that came before the raptor then XD I actually rather enjoyed the rather design. Even though they're absolutely brutal with Critical Defenses always up XD; That's quite interesting to know which order the designs came in ^^

Not to complain to you but the arenanet guys should update the icon. Been playing on my mac using crossover and the icon looked so ugly on the doc I had to find one here on DA. [link] xD

Wow, this translated really nicely from your concept. Great job! What did you use to paint your textures?

Adobe Photoshop and Body Paint, also I used some pieces of the illustration in the final texture as well.

That's one nasty looking beastie! Awesomely done, love the realistic look to it. I think if I encountered one of these I'd have a good sword or probably a good number of arrows...
