It's kinda insane how a sketch exploded into this. This was done in Paint Tool Sai with color/effect edits in Photoshop. This picture was an exercise of many things, namely backgrounds. This is probably the first time I spent about as much time coloring the background as my characters. I was also continuing to practice my semi-lineless coloring style. Again I worked huge! 15x17" at 300 dpi. So what you're seeing here is only 20% of its size @_@. Needless to say it took me a long time to finish. The bokeh texture on top came from Stock.xchng (sxh.hu) taken by Nossirom.

These are two characters of mine obviously, on their home planet Terithnea. The pink haired girl is Azyrin (spelling is still subject to change...), and the other is Atsaeka. I hope to develop some sort of story for them. The only thing I've got going for them right now is that they're both exiles and the two are quite different from each other. That's something I was aiming to portray with this piece in their countenances. One of them I've drawn a few times already:
