Thank you so much! But I live in southern California...This is on the Columbia River which is the boarder between Oregon and Washington (I think it was the Oregon side) My family went on a week cruise last summer. The River goes through an amazing change of scenery from the Pacific Ocean inland over to Idaho. If you're interested check early in my gallery pages 11 and 12...

I'm not quite sure if I'm misuderstanding, but I don't live in a big city...I live in a valley with about 9000 people. We are approximatly an hour north from Los Angeles, but where we are is really rural. And we do live in a beautiful place! Most of my photos (except the ones from our summer vacation) are taken within about an hour or so from our home - even the red rock canyon was less than two hours away!

We were up on the top level of our cruise ship (tiny as they go - only 75 cabins) watching the sun set and the moon rise...my husband requested this shot, telling me: hold it, hold it, wait...now!
