There was never any doubt,
that they knew what would come,
In some way or another,
we told them...every one.

We told them through the wind,
through the gentle summer breeze.
Through dark and stormy gusts,
that rocked the planet's seas.

We mentioned it in passing,
On a dusty sunlit lane,
It was told on Sunday morning,
'Be grateful for what you gain.'

And yet they never listened,
The generation of today,
And all our words of wisdom,
Are locked or thrown away.

When the earth is dirty water,
And the sky is stained with black,
They'll remember that we warned,
Of the day, the earth fought back.
