Did a Huntress Re-Design for funsies several months back like in May but never posted it. Helena Bertinelli Huntress redesign for funsies The first challange was to re-design their signature costume to make it PRACTICAL. As Helena has to have a range of motion and she tends to face a lot of people who stab I gave her a stab vest sort of composet armor on her thigh chest arms and neck. Heavier boots with a lower heel and knee pads.I kept her cape but changed it a little and there is nothing more aggravating for me that "sluttified" costumes for the sake of showing skin so bye bye belly window- also I wanted her hair OFF her face so tied it back with the crecent- they never made sence on her uniform they were sharp and would have limited her range of motion.
Done on X-Press It Blending Card with BIC Mechanical Pencil with Copic SP Multi Liner and Copic Color

COOL! You made a Smallville Contemporary worthy Huntress! The characters outfits tend toward more field uniform style. Can she use this cape to glide when jumping between rooftops or off buildings? Does it have properties like experimental Liquid Armor? Does it at least keep her dry in the rain or warm in the cold? In any case, since it's fiction, she doesn't have to have her cape get caught on stuff or grabbed by bad guys who are crazy enough to tug on Huntress' cape.

You got any redesigns of Dinah Lance/Black Canary or Zatanna Zatara in this style or know someone who does?
The friend I told about your work plays Black Canary in our Smallville group and she really liked this image, so we both watch DA for ideas of what is a Smallville worthy costume.

Reminds me more of her NML run costume or the one worn during the Cry For Blood story arc. It seems to me that most of the new 52 costumes are aimed at practicality and showing less skin particularly for heroines/villainess. Of course there are some exceptions to this perception. Still happy to see new Huntress artwork from you of course.
I recently preordered Huntress: Crossbow at Crossroads. It does at that remind me of her costume on the cover of the aforementioned volume release due out next month.

Indeed... No Man's Land has some awesome Huntress moments and of course Cry For Blood is the first instance that I know where she's working with the Question. As for Crossbow at Crossroads - that's new - not out til late September this year.
