Well technically, *puts on lore dweeb glasses* there are some pretty strange forms of the force within the Star Wars universe that are shown in a more magical manner, namely the dark side powers used by the Nightsisters of Dathomir. The Nightsisters are frequently referred to as "witches" and all of their dark side techniques are manifested with a green glow and are referred to as spells. Though the Dathomirians didn't exist until the third season of the 2008 Clone Wars cartoon, and this was posted about five years before then.

yeah, based on what stinky 'ole Emperor was saying to Anakin about "protecting Padme" or whatever, i kind of got the vague impression that they have SOME sort of something to protect girls/women who are pregnant, married, in relationships, etc., etc.
