I just saw My neighbor Totoro a few days ago for the first time.

Really? It was one of my favorites when I was little. Do you know about the whole 'God of death' theory about the movie? XD it puts a really dark spin on it.

Well there's this theory that Totoro is actually the god of death and you can only see him when you are close to death and that when they find that sandal by the lake it really was May's and she drown and that's why Totoro finds her and then when the older sister finds out she kills herself to be with her sister. Super dark. Oh it's also said that's why the mother sees them briefly at the end, because she's terminally ill in the hospital and close to death. Totally messed up right? (Also sorry I haven't replied to the RP in a while. I'm terrible TmT)

No I haven't heard of that before. Wow. xD I mean- I thought it would take the dark turn with the shoe part to be honest. I think iv watched too many animated movies I keep expecting the worst.. x'D Its like a total flip on the movie. And oh no no its ok, its alright haha,
