Description I am going to Ghana to serve in the Peace Corps for the next 2 years and I thought it would be a great opportunity to journal and have a reminder of my experiences. After learning some book binding, I decided to make the journals from scratch. Each book was handmade and contains 200 pages. The covers are made from the back of my drawing pad and the fabrics are authentic styles from the Kente and Kuba tribes in Ghana. I am so proud of these books and cannot wait to begin writing about my experience!

Paper, thread, glue, canvas, cardboard, fabric, hemp, leather

Estimated time: Roughly 10 hours for entire project.
