It's been how long? Six months? Yeah okay.Thought I should post something here since I'm tired of seeing my old art on my profile page. I saw a style similar to this where the proportions were a bit thicker than average and thought it would be neat to try out. So here's Lavender looking distressed for no good reason other than I couldn't get a smile to look okay. If you have any feedback, that'd be cool to hear. Enjoy...?
I'm not planning on returning much, but I may be here a bit more often.

First thing I noticed is Lavi got a new hairstyle. It's super cute! I've been trying to master the art of chibi style but Im just too serious and realistic to make anything exceedingly cute.I prefer semi-chibi anyway. I don't want to be generic. Oh and why you stop the 365 day art journal ?

Thanks for your kind words! I really like this version of her where she's a little more on the cute side rather than the older, serious side.
As for the 365 journal, time just wasn't on my side. It became stressful to draw something every day when I had other things to do instead.

I like this pic, btw. It's less anime-ish and more cartoonish, which is good to help differentiate you from all the other dime-a-dozen anime artists here. Very nice.

It has been a while @_@. I really like this style of this! Um, the A is kinda hard to see? I might connect the right line of the A to the middle part of the A I guess idk. And then add a little more shadow on the right most part of her tail (from our perspective), and on the right side of her hair and right ear as well?

Thanks Lexi! Yeah, I'm still crap at lighting. I need to actually try some light studies and see where that gets me. The text was my attempt at being fancy and trying to make all the letters flow together. In retrospect I should have probably stuck with a lowercase 'a' and had the top of the 'a' meet the 'y'.

Nah lighting is pretty darn hard lol. Same haha. Yeah I saw what you were doing and liked it, just had a bit of trouble reading the A haha. No problem!
