*A Baringo Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis rothschild) taken at Lincoln Park Zoo! His habitat was right behind the Meerhats!

Quite rare to see a Rothschild Giraffe as I've known them. Reticulated Giraffes in zoos are way more common. However Rothschild are the second most common. Other then those 2 you never see them.

I read that there were only around 700 of the Rothschild Giraffe left in the wild.
I honestly didn't know until recently when I did some research out of curiosity that there are quite a few different types of Giraffe. I was surprised to see how many types there were! They all are equally beautiful!
