Description
This is =kuroitora 's prize for winning my art auction on Gaia! It's his character Mia. It was a little intimidating to do a commission for such a great, well-known artist, and I'm not sure how true to character this is, but well, he said he liked to see the artists' interpretation - and this is definitely a very Kecky pose.

I think what I love most...the flowing hair, the pose in general, the spirited expression on her face, and even the flash-of-shoulder. It's all good. Kickarse gloves too.

I have no idea why, but I love her small feet (maybe 'cos you add so much yummy curve and weight to your characters that it makes for a nice balance, who knows). Her expression is so fun and I love the little bits of pink in her nose and elbows, and the sort of neutral shading colors make the lighting all delicious. Cool!

That's so awesome! Her pose is so much fun, very dynamic. I love the background color you used, and the way you applied those textures is impressive. Like the bluish shading, too.
Do you have a certain technique or refer to a tutorial when applying textures? Please forgive me if you've explained this elsewhere. ._.

Thanks a lot!! For textures, I just copy and paste a texture into a new layer until it covers the whole area, then mess with the color so it matches, then play with blending modes and opacity until it looks right. Textures usually look good set on 'overlay' but I don't remember if that's what this one is.
