I love the texture of the piece, and how she seems to be waiting for something. Her pose and dress are so perfect, and the flowing of her hair is so pretty.

It's almost like she's staring out to something we can't see, like I, as the viewer, am missing something. When I follow her eyes out to the horizon, I can almost see what she's searching and waiting for, but I can't. I like the look of her hair, it gives her the dreamy kind of character. You've got her curves down and it really makes her seem like someone I already know. When I look at this, I see this girl and her story, all in one snapshot, so to speak. This is inspirational.

It reminds me of this book I read once called 'Twilight Girl' ... I think it's by Sally Warren? Anyway it's a great book and this girl reminds me a lot of the main character and the scenery looks kind of how I imagined from the book. It's probably not exactly what you were going for, but I like it either way!

A beautiful piece. The colors and textures are working in your favor I think [oof, I love how you stylized those trees in the distance]...I also like how empty that horizon is; it's a clever representation of the concept, and it lends a very solid feeling of longing/waiting to the scene.

For me it is.. My sailor is deployed right now. She looks just like how I feel! I wanna stare at the ocean until he comes back. When the ship first appears as a speck on the horizon, it doesn't seem to come into port fast enough!
