Let me keep my ignorance.---
We all know what it's like to want to shut our eyes and ignore the problems before us. Sometimes we can go on pretending it's ok for years. There will be a nagging in the back of your mind, where you know something is wrong, but you can still ignore it. You can choose not to see it. However, sometimes our blind fold gets ripped off and you're forced to see things that you wished were simply nightmares. And sometimes it's so bad that you long to claw up your eyes and shut them tight and go back to a time when you could pretend life was ok. That's what this piece is about. It's my longing to undo the things I've seen and to forget things I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt.

This may not be like most of my work and it's certainately not my best work. However, my art is my therapy and I needed to do this piece to help me work through something that's going on in my life right now.

I love this. You just described exactly what has been in my mind for so long. You're work is admired. Though sometimes it's really hard to believe anyone else knows the same hurt that you feel. You're right. You wish they were only nightmares. Nice work with the picture.

Very powerful. The fact that ignorance is something that is usually that people make fun of makes it even more moving. We're all born with innocence and the world taints it. This picture just sums it all up. Awesome.

Though different from much of your stuff, much of your past stuff, i've viewed with the same impression that this image is trying to convey. Perhaps i'm imagining seeing it prior to this but... The premise is very touching, and its a feeling very strong in me as well.

Actually, I think this is one of your better works, it has more depth than your usual style. I like the lighting and slight sepia tone- would be nice to see the right side completely dark but either way nice work on this

You have to see the wasteland before you in order to walk to the paradise that awaits you.
However, you have to be ready to make the journey...be sure that your ready when you take off the veil. It took me two years to do so...but Ive found my way.

It looks alot like you covered your eyes after something happened with your eyes, since it looks like dried blood smears below your eye. It's a very deep, troubled, and yet understanding and truthful piece.

I don't normally comment on your photos because most of what I want to say, people have already said. Your work is truly inspiring, but I do believe that this is one of your better pieces. Though I do have to say Glass Hearted is my new favorite. There is so much emotion in both; they are sincere and true to a fault. Amazing job. One thing though: Don't let others break your spirit, but don't be ashamed to cry.
