We don't always know what lies behind certain doorways. But I for one believe I am lucky in having the ability to walk on through and find what waits for me there. Even the unsure darkness can carry a hidden blessing. And discovery in itself can be a beautiful thing... Sometimes

It's really gorgeous. I love the detail in it. The hard work you put into it shows through. I really love how you did the stone and the mist in the doorway to keep what's beyond it a mystery. I also love what it stands for and completely agree with you that you need courage to meet the unknown.

What lies beyond... the mystery... the solemn grace of uncertainty and the enchanting discovery. You've captured this darkly, and beautifully. What I find so drawing is the light... it's not lighting the past, or the future... only the present. WE head into the future blind, opening doors we know not what may be behind, but what illumines us is the choice of now.
