HAH, I love how the car in the billboard is reminiscent of old Iron Man's 'origins' helmet. unless that was accidental?
I have to go check out your other works now.
Good stuff, man!

Yeah its nice to see the buzz kind of turn around on it. The first preview, as delayed as it was, seemed to turn people off (especially the cg)...but now I am reading reviews where they are saying it is almost as good as Ironman and a few saying it is better.
I guess one of the editorial choice was to cut out material at the beginning in order to show the Hulk sooner. I know they did cut the suicide attempt at the beginning ( which is still in the game). I kind of figured they would axe that though.

I hadn't heard of the suicide attempt at the start. Could you elaborate on that one for me? I agree it's good to see people start to warm to the film, and though I have yet to see it, it does seem a very well put together movie. I also never got the issues with the CGI. Say what you will about the rest but if shoddy CGI is what you are looking for then look no further than Ang Lee's Hulk...

I don'trecall if the films version was exactly the same as the one we went with for the game...but ours has him walking over the snow in the Arctic where he falls to his knees. He pulls out a gun and puts it towards his mouth. The trigger is pulled...we don't see the transformation...just a bullet that either has bounced off the Hulk or spit out...
Anyways, Iam glad they scrapped it from the movie, which I figured they would. Even if people were kay with the suicide attempt, the idea that Banner can transform into the Hulk faster than a speeding bullet just isn't supported.
I did see the movie on Friday. It was okay. I think Ironman was a lot more enjoyable. I did have problems with the CG and the Hulk's face...his eyes especially. Some stuff I liked. I liked Roth quite a bit...he wasn't over the top, and I liked Samuel Sterns..quite quirky. Although I didn't buy Liv Tyler as a bioligist, I did find her Betty Ross much more compelling than Connelly's and that honestly was the glue that stuck the movie together. So not bad, not great.

Yeah, whenever I've seen Hulk's transformation depicted it's taken longer than a speeding bullet! I get the feeling that was a case of "wouldn't that look cool!". Truth be told it doesn't surprise me that Iron Man was more entertaining, and I do wonder if Hulk can ever be brought to the big screen as effectively as he is portrayed in the comics. The big problem for me is that esentially his character dreads this beast inside him, he is constantly trying to keep it in check but as a viewer what we want to see is the Hulk...smashing things to bits. It's possible to understand the character but difficult to relate in a way.
