No? Neither do I.

It still does. The only difference is that people nowadays just like being complacent with the crap they give us.

I dislike a large portion of modern music- I don't enjoy rap, almost all of it is about sex, hot bods,
money, and blazin' it up. There are good musicians though.

I've never heard your music nor can I really say it's good or bad. Β Like I said, a lot of people, not all, in the music industry don't exactly seem like they really belong there; they might be talented dancers, or have a pretty face, but they can neither sing, compose, or help out in any way with the music they "do". Β I honestly have a lot of mixed opinions on this matter, and it constantly changes--when I first made this stamp, I had a completely different opinion behind it. Β I still keep the deviation up because people seem to like it, though their opinions may vary from mine.
So no, I bet your music is fantastic and if you're not satisfied with it, I am absolutely certain you'll improve it to your own liking, and I wish you good luck with that.
Have a nice day, and sorry if I offended you or made you feel uncomfortable in any way. Β c:

It's not that you can't just make it. Nobody can make music. Music is born, not made. It grows as multiple artist contribute to it. It breaths the air (Or the smoke, depending on the musician). It feeds on our creativity. It travels around the world, finding shelter in the hearts and ears of people. Music is a living thing, and can not be processed from a computer.
I agree that music should require some level of talent. Because it's a language. And unless you are fluent in that language, you can't give birth to music.
Sincerely,
A guitarist, pianist, bassist, songwriter, and poet.

I grew up on opera and classical music, my mom's part of an orchestral chorus, so we listened to that kind of music very often. XD I'll check out some of it. C:

Yeah, I actually grew up on a lot of stuff, we had an odd mix of opera with nu-metal and rock, Spanish 80's pop, Madonna, and Enya o:

I completely agree with you. I actually rejoice when I hear a song that doesn't have Autotune and/or the words "boy", "yo", "sexy", or "heart" in it. This is why I never purchase billboard songs on iTunes anymore, as long as it's about something OTHER than, breakups, love, or is hypersexual. Those are the three categories it seems music must fall into to gain popularity.
There is a fourth category I am now aware of, now that my bus driver has started playing rap music on the ride to school. Music can now be popular if it's about nightclubs and getting high. That's almost worse than the overly-romantic teen-pop-star garbage.
Another artist I'd reccomend is the Russian singer Regina Spektor. She is highly underrated, but her music is about how society treats people and has more positive messages. I guess that's why she's underrated? People think that negative messages equal fame?
The music industry is really getting under my skin.

Yeah.... it's not different here in Hungary either. Ergo here is that stupid Nigerian dude who sings a not even rhyming hungarian song while he can't speak hungarian normally (aka I don't understand 80% of the song), and all this pasted on a copied melody. Now this sh.t is the song of the summer.... No comment.

I hate justin biebers songs, but I admire the fact that he plays so many instruments. but the fame has gone to his head.
whatever happened to picking up a guitar or some drumsticks, getting a singer and working hard to make it to the top?
now all u have to do is make a repeptitive computer beat, make up ryhmes and talk them out instead of singing.
