I love where this is going. Β A headcanon forced me to believe that Tambelon was a city built by the dishonored ponies' souls while they were in Limbo, using Grogar as their leader. Β Second, the bell in the tower may have belonged to an "Anti-Grogar" who herded the honored ponies' souls, but was lost to Grogar in a campaign.

As the elements went about there daily lives none of them ever suspected of being watched. Indeed not even Celestia could ever tell that beyond this world there in laid a darker realm a realm of death and despair. This land... was Tambelon the kingdom of Grogar the necromancer. A being so ancient that his power predates even Discord himself. As he watched them through his mirror spell he couldn't help but growl at the sight of pathetic creatures that have taken his land. He soon noticed that one of his scouts returned with what he requested and his face twisted into what can only be described as a sickening smile. "Now," the necromancer said holding the object in his hand "Let ring the bells of hel." And with one slight twist of his hand the bell rang with an eerie echo that traveled through out Equestria. "Soon this land will be mine once more." Grogar said before turning towards his castle his skeletal servant following him.

Wow great text, this is what I have in mind except for the very end

The spawn behind him is Hel, in the Norse mythology she's the jailer of those who died without honnor. Her face is half flesh, half bone.

In my fiction she chose him as a champion and gave him his necromancer powers through the Bell

Thanks !

No problem. I can see that but honestly i picture Grogar as being way to powerful for that. In MY headcannon he actually escaped his imprisonment and now she has offered him a deal he can stay as he is and he can have his true kingdom back but he has to be her champion and, on occasion, has to do as she says. Being the mastermind that he is Grogar accepts the terms and agreements stated in this offer but then uses his power to actually force her undead half as his slave so technically he will still follow her orders but now they are tweaked to his liking. If you don't like it then do tell me.

I figured it would play out well considering this guy is recorded to be a necromancer.
