"Dinner time, boys!"Remake of:
Ugggggggh, boy, was this a pain to make. But thankfully it didn't end in a headache, so it must not have been that bad after all.
Anyway, this is a depiction of a scene in "The Official Fanfiction University of Redwall": www.fanfiction.net/s/3192494/1… This version is closer to what happens in the chapter, in that Slagar feeds Basil to multiple Minis, not just one. Plus, the minis in this pic look closer to how they're supposed to look:
You might notice that one of them still has a collar that's styled after Slagar's mask. I decided I wanted to keep the idea that Slagar marks the ones that are named after him.
Also, I used my new version of Slagar for this version, obviously. Also, Basil's gag is styled after his captor's mask because I figured Slagar would be more likely to carry around a spare mask as opposed to a pawkerchief. And I figured Slagar would want to add insult to injury like that. X) I'm also pleased with how Basil's arms came out in this version, since in the old one they didn't look realistically proportioned.
Fun fact: when I first drew this, I didn't like how Basil's face came out, so I redrew an entirely new face and pasted it over the old one. (Actually, I still wasn't satisfied with the expression, but it looked better than the first attempt, so I settled.) Also, Slagar says "Dinner time" as opposed to "Snack time" in the actual fanfic.

hahah great to see you gave this awesome scene another go! I do love how Slagar is just carrying the hare off to his doom, it has a sort of videogame game over scene to it was it counts down "continue? 9,8,7 and so on 
Anyhow you did a good job on the digital colouring
colouring digitally is defently no joke as it's difficult to transfer ones skills from traditional mediums to digital colouring but you are getting a hang on it^^
I would advice to try other ways of drawing grass than to use the "grass" brush on Photoshop. I remember when I started first out, I also used that tool as well, though with mixed results. Only when I changed to a simple round brush and drew the grass as different shades of green did I really get a grasp on drawing it.. To do this I imagine the grass as if they where sea waves, lighter green on top of the wave and darker green on the downfall of the wave..
well I'm, not very good at explaining to be honest, so don't worry about that. You certainly did a good job on this as you added a difficult perspective and background to your allready excellent scene^^

Actually, I don't have Photoshop; I didn't use any "grass brush" at all. I made up each blade of grass using the line tool in Microsoft paint. Well, I only made up a few different types and gave them all different shades of green, and then copy and pasted them all. However, your method sounds like it will serve me better, so thank you for that!

Nope, they're in a "Fanfiction University" where people who've written awful fanfictions (ie, Mary Sue fics, slash fics, or just plain badly-written fics) are taken to live at Redwall (while being transformed into an animal of their choice). There they are taught things like proper grammar, spelling, how to name a Redwall character, and to reread the books to check their facts, etc. And all the while, they're being tortured by the staff, who are comprised of canon characters:
Urgan Nagru and Silvamord teach the class on how to name a Redwall character, Luke the Warrior teaches how to wield actual swords, Skipper teaches swim classes, and Cluny the Scourge teaches sex ed. 
As for the Minis, they appear every time a character's name is misspelled in a fanfic. One such example is "Silvamort". Oh, and "Tarsmina." There are others.
The main character is a girl named Suzi, who has a crush on Martin the Warrior. She firmly believes Rose was just using Martin the whole time and writes many fics of a mouse-version of herself, where said version shows Martin how much "better" she is than Rose. She also writes slash fics of Martin and Gonff. So really, the actual Martin and Gonff hate her, and take delight in bad things happening to her (interestingly, Rose and Columbine aren't offended by the slash stuff, they actually think its hilarious).

I doubt that. Actually, Cluny in the OFUR is asexual (he wears a black ring on his middle finger because, from what I've heard, asexuals wear those; he enjoys flipping students off as he explains it to them). Plus he wouldn't want to do anything to encourage his fangirls, Maisie Anne and Fernflower (the latter is a character I submitted for the fanfic).
They just keep the Minis in the pond as pets. They are wild, but can be tamed.
