YES, I know his top of head is like uber too short. ;_; But this was just copic practise, and I only noticed after inking >.<
;But yeah. More Rhys. And he doesn't turn up for a long while, sorry xD

Lol, I was trying for some shine, but I don't have a pale enough copic xD I tried layering over some white pencil, but I think I need a better pencil for that

White gel pen always works well n___________________n if you don't have that then Tippex is good too. xP

I use white gel pen for my manga, but over copics it looks really horrible and blocky, especially on hair when you're going for a threadlike effect xD But thanks~

the cocked head and soft expression just show so much of his personality along with the laid back pose. Definately looking forward to seeing him come up in Gifted

ohhh, neat! he looks very interesting. i like his expression, he seems very laid back, and maybe a bit michevious.
and on the copic markers note, i've never tried copic markers, so i don't know how they work... (honestly, i think it's magic...) but for a first try, you seem to have a good grasp of it's capabilities. i'm sure with practice you'll get a million times better. what i really like is the highlights on the jacket. very well done! you already mentioned the head, but i do those kinds of small things all the time... only noticing after inking! it's tragic

I'm glad it came out conveying so much character, that's what these early character sketches are all about I suppose 
Copics are... interesting. Remind me a lot of watercolour :3 And the highlights are purely the lovely brushtip ending of true branded Copics xD I have three brands of markers; some Letraset Promarkers, some Touch Shinhan ones, and then a bunch of Copic Ciaos and Sketches :3 but the nonbrand ones don't brush as well with highlights :/ But otherwise, I really recommend trying them, especially because I prefer traditional art to digital xD *likes ink on her hands*

yeah, i didn't ever even touch digital until a few days ago. it's so hectic, freehand is so much nicer!!

^^ I think it's the soft colouring on his face that makes him look so real, and the gentle smile and tilted head makes him too easy to personalise xD *wonders what he's thinking*
