For my studio final, I had to go and "remake" my original draft, based on the same idea
These paintings were trying to look at how the human mind is like the sea in how they are flowing, constant and vast. It sounds really wacko and is a mouthful, but my teacher really stressed us to latch onto a really "sophisticated" theme or idea for our studio final, hence, this whacko idea! But I love the stuff I was able to produce!!

And I just love these hair. Her eyes a little bit too wide in my opinion which disturbs me quite al lot, but I love the idea of deep shadows and flat colours <3

I saw this in top arts a couple weeks ago and I have to say it's one of my favourite pieces there! Not many digital pieces got in so it was good to see works like this and I had no idea you were on DA either!
I'm doing my year 12 studio art this year so it's cool to have found you c:

To be honest, I actually felt quite similarly; the previous toparts season had virtually no digital pieces in the exhibition at all, so it was really scary and daunting because i wanted to get into it soooo badly!
But best the luck for you! Studio arts really was my favourite subject, no matter how 'last minute hectic' it gets haha.

I went to Top Arts just yesterday and i was in love with your work instantly, it gave me hope that i can put something in there myself as a digital artist! Your folio was stunning and I actually spent the whole time looking at your folio, rather than anyone elses! oops, but yeah. Thank you for giving me hope, have a lovely day!

I swear you are the third person who's seen my folio and somehow followed me up on deviantArt and I can honestly still say that I am just overwhelmed with feels... :') Seriously, so much appreciation and thankfulness for your kindness!!
HAHAHHA I'm glad you liked the folio and honoured as well!! AND I'M EVEN MORE HAPPY THAT IT GAVE YOU HOPE, because honestly, I know how you feel. I remember when I saw the exhibtions it was always traditional and experimental mediums like charcoal, acrylics, paints and everything, so it was always so scary and daunting that digital art wouldn't be received well at TopArts, but I wanted to be in the exhibition sooo badly. I spent weeks getting advice on how to get in with digital media, but nobody really knew.
In the end, it really is about your ideas, your effort and how well you can push yourself to really hit those experimentations and reasoning. My advice, even if you know youd like to end up with your final in a digital format, spend alot of time experimenting with as many mediums as you can, because they teach you things that become so helpful in digital art. Try watercolours, charcoal, acrylics and whatnot. You don't have to end up producing a final with those materials, but I learnt sooooo much!
