Description
A tribute to Cave Story, an epic freeware side-scroller game I've decided to re-play and finish the game once and for all. This time I decided I should save Curly and unlock the final piece of the story's puzzle, and the "Hell" stage. (after about 8 years of the game's release, man I'm slow)

Moonsong carried a strong sentimental value to me, a song played during what would be the turning point of the whole game. After fighting numerous battles inside the island, the hero finally steps outside the island's outer wall, heading toward the final battle.

Back then, it felt like finally breathing fresh air after countless of back to back indoor boss fights. It also clarified that the island was indeed, floating in the sky. Even after so many dialogues telling me that fact, I had to see it for myself before I can really empathize with what the characters are saying.

So there, my noobish skills in depicting such atmosphere was unleashed~ in a piece that took around 8 hours or so.

Cave Story was made by Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya, in 2004.
