This is a working mockup that lets the deviation picker contain multiple predefined sets of deviations.It's going to $starvingartist for comments.

So what is this used for? Has it something to do with groups?

It's currently being used in the devID and featured deviation modules on userpages, where it only allows you to select one of your own deviations. The tab-like things are being added to make it relatively easy to pick out a deviation to submit to a group or suggest that a group might want to fave.
