I was debating on wherever or not I should post this one or not. I ended up deciding to, after thinking that it would at worse be the same as if I hadn't, so why not post it anyway.

So this idea came after listening to La Fée by Zaz. It's very metaphorical, but the story goes like this (for those of you, and God knows there are a lot of you, who do not speak a word of French): the singer sings about a fairy that stays in her house, unable to fly because of her broken wings, mourning their loss and refusing to go outside because she is sure the world is cursed.
As you can see, I took the lyrics very literally.

Here comes the short AMAZINGLY LONG angsty description-story:

This poor little thing broke her wings on one of her missions. No one knows what really happened, but she can no longer fly, and she'll probably never recover her wings. So while the other fairies go around looking for teeth, she stays inside. Because of this, she becomes more and more gloomy, and feels like she's useless. Slowly, she drifts away from the others. She never smiles, and she never makes a sound. She doesn't want to be a bother to anyone, so she stays in a corner, hiding away.
What she doesn't realize, however, is how pained everyone is to see her fall apart. Most fairies don't know how to make her understand that they all love her, no matter what, and so, they act a bit awkwardly around her, something she automatically categorizes as discomfort or disgust. At a certain point, things get so bad, that the Tooth Fairy ends up finding out about it all. (They had hid it from her, thinking she would get mad at them for not being supportive enough, besides their best efforts, and of course, the fairy in question was hiding from everyone, so Toothiana hadn't heard of her in a while, even when she went looking for her.) Of course, she is angry, but it's more at herself than anyone else. So she has a long talk about love, family and how everyone is a part of it, no matter what with the broken one, and it ends with lots of tears of joy.
Slowly, things go back to how they were. The broken one finds a new way to help the others even without her ability to fly. She finds herself a purpose and gets better day after day, even managing to interact with much less awkwardness with her peers. She grows more confident every day. But deep inside, she still mourns her broken wings and curses the world for their loss. She feels ashamed about it and bubbles it inside, hiding everything behind a joyful facade. And it gets harder and harder with every passing day. When she was hiding from everyone and crying in a corner, things were easier, because she was letting it all out. But now, she is slowly killing herself from the inside, and no one can see it... No one can save her...

Yeah, no one knows this, but I'm a sucker for angst, actually. I'm just not good at writing it. :'D
