~Akugirl and the narrow tunnel~The bigger the robots the more powerful they are, but also the more unlikely that they will be able to follow the heroes inside tunnels.

Cool! I like that bike and that robot looks pretty sweet as well.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I started re-texturing the Mad Cat mech. I got about 50% done and realized there was a problem with the original UV maps for the hip. I would go to view the new textures in poser and they would not show up for the hip. They were applied but the map is screwy.
I'll try again in the future. I had to uninstall poser because I'm putting in a new second hard drive so it'll be a while. When/if I get back to them I'll hook you up with the new maps.

We have to consider that those MechBay models were originally freebies from Vanishing Point, so we can't expect much from them.

I have all of my 3D/2D apps on a second HD as well. I had to take them off because I'm upgrading to 750GB from a 200GB drive. (It was almost full!!) I would have the new one installed now but I need to get a new SATA connector. I cut the last one on accident.

Over here I have 3 500Gb SATA II, 2 250GB in SATA II RAID 0 and 2 160Gb hard drives where one is just for Poser itself. Large hard drives are cheap nowadays, but I prefer not to use anything larger than 500Gb so that I don't put too many eggs in the same basket. ^^

Wow! Sounds like a great setup. Dual quad cores by chance? If so how are they?
Until I get a new case and get a better work area I can only use two HDs. My mobo can do four HDs but I cannot fit them all in the case. I cannot leave them hanging out "like I used to" because my son will destroy them.

Over here I have just an old Athlon64 X2 4400+ that I overclocked up to 5,200Ghz trying to extend it's life span. It holds the speed thanks to a 12" water cooler for the CPU plus a CoolerMaster case with 5 12" fans. I put 4Gb RAM on it but WinXP can only use 3Gb of it and the remaining 1Gb is probably wasted. I recently upgraded the video card to an nVidia 8800GT 512Mb DDR3 with 112 stream processors but the motherboard and the old CPU are both already on their upper limits and will not give me any more performance without building a new PC.
I have plans to build a new PC for myself soon, but processors and mobos are going through a transition from 2 to 4 cores nowadays, and memory is going from DDR2 to DDR3 but the first models are not making use of the new capabilities. Both Intel and AMD are coming with new lines of processors later this year so now might be a bad time to buy components because they will become obsolete very soon...

I just upgraded to a 8800GT 256Mb DDR3. I did not have room on my Mobo for the video card I really wanted..

I opted for the 8800GT 512Mb mostly because newer DX10 games now come with much higher video memory requirements and my older 8800 GTS 320Mb would die too soon, unable to play modern games unless in very low resolutions. So I sold my GTS and bought the new GT 512MB - and guess what? It was cheaper! LOL
As for the 4GB RAM, Windows 32-bits XP or Vista cannot make use of it. Only XP or Vista 64-bits can use it but at the expense of very low software and hardware compatibility. It is definitely *not* worth using 64-bit right now because it is largely unsupported. I know, with all the processors being 64-bit ready this is really a waste...

Until next year there will be a whole new line of mobos and processors to choose from. Intel is about to release their new X38 line of mobos that support their newest quad-core processors. ^^
