Trying something new today. It's nearly impossible to get a character to hold an object without ending up with mangled hands, or getting the object as and where I want it to be. So I made an extra reference image of only the 3D hand and the baseball bat for ControlNet "canny" preprocessor. AHA! Now I can get the bat exactly as I want, with correct hand pose and placement! I have masked the bat for where the neck and fingers would be, so the AI knows it goes BEHIND them. Pose and camera framing established in Poser, rendered in Stable Diffusion, postwork in Paintshop.
