I actually came up with this gal a while ago.

Starcatcher is a full Nightwing, and she grew up on the Nightwing Island. She moved to the rainforest with everyone else when she was nine, and is still living there.
Her mother is a Nightwing named Razorclaw, and her father, Nightrider, died of a sickness when she was young.

She had never really seen the stars before moving to the rainforest, because of all the smoke and clouds from the volcano. But when she first came into the rainforest she was amazed to find the sky filled with stars, and the moons seemed as close as her own talons.

Every night she would climb to the top of the canopy and gaze up at the sky.
One night she felt so drawn to the moons that she resolved to find a way to reach them.

With enthusiasm she began to study, trying to figure out a way to make a suit that could protect a dragon enough that they could make it to space. She tried again and again, but nothing was working. There were so many problems, like how would the dragon carry food? How could they get enough energy to keep going? Gosh, she didn’t even know how far the moons were.

Eventually, with a heavy heart, she concluded that there was just no way to reach the moons.

Until, one day, she remembered the old stories. The stories of Animus dragons, who held unimaginable power in their talons. She realized that if they really existed, they could somehow use their magic to get her to the stars.

And thus she began her search, asking anyone she could find if they knew about any Animus dragons still alive.
She heard about Stonemover, but also about how he vowed never to do magic again. Still she went to jade mountain to see for herself. Unfortunatly he refused as he had done to everyone else.

Jade Mountain Academy was being built at the time, so she talked to the dragonets of destiny about it. They seemed evasive, however, and she didn’t get anything from them.

Her hope rose at the time when Darkstalker came, and he was promising powers to everyone. But she was not one of the lucky dragons to get to him first, because she was off exploring the sand kingdom (in search of Animi).
When she heard about him she rushed back to the rainforest to meet him. He had already claimed Kingship over the Nightwings, and she faithfully followed him to his promised kingdom.

She tried again and again to speak with him, but she never ended up getting the powers she wanted. The one time she got to ask him, he seemed to be in a bad mood, and irritably waved her away.

She was heavily disappointed when he disappeared. But now she knew that Animus dragons could be found, and she is determined to find one.

As of now, she still lives in the Nightwing village and studies astronomy. She works alongside her friend Skyweaver (more on him later), and she’s still waiting for news of someone who can help her reach her dream.
