So much to say about this piece! I am so excited for the new reboot of Shaman King. It’s not much longer now!

I’ve wanted to draw this picture for so long, I just wasn’t sure how to. I almost gave up on this picture many times because I couldn’t draw what was in my head. Still I took this artwork, little by little and was finally able to complete this to satisfaction.

This is the place Kikyo goes to when she meditates every morning. It is referred to as oblivion, a place where you forget the natural world and step into the spiritual one. This is Ichika’s realm and as such, much of her influences are found throughout. The peach blossom tree is very symbolic of Ichika, the candles and paper lamps are something she loves because of the memories attached to them.
