Here is some additional data concerning new weapons not added to the Griffin Mk I-A Light Cruiser but added to both of the later models of the Griffin:

Reference the Griffin Mk I-A Light Cruiser:

(01) No additional weapons have been added to this particular model of the Romulan Griffin & it's because there is not enough room for any
additional weapons that could be located in the wings or on the top of the wings. Furthermore, any new weapons possibly located on top
of the engine nacelles, could not be affixed because these type of engine nacelles on this model are too thin to support any weapon's structure.
The Griffin Mk I-A only has a wing span of 245.0 Meters, which already supports 8 weapons, with 4 weapons being under each wing!
(02) The nose section can only support 1 weapon because the height is restricted to 50.4 Meters!
(03) The aft portion of this Light Cruiser is also not long enough to support any additional aft torpedo tubes, besides the single aft torpedo tube which is located on the centerline with only a length of 497.25 Meters!

Reference the Griffin Mk II-B Cruiser:

(01) This model has in fact added more new weapons onto the wings; because the warship's wing span jumped from 245.0 Meters to 274.7 Meters!
(02) This model increased its aft weapons because of this, the wing span increased; it still had the aft torpedo tube but, it was able to add 6
new weapons firing aft, for the first time with the Griffin Cruiser!
(03) Also this model did have 6 more powerful new weapons & it was also able to increase the fwd firepower with those 2 additional fwd firing weapons!
(04) Sadly, this model was still unable to increase the number of weapons in the nose because of the same restriction of a height of still only 50.4 Meters!

Reference the final Griffin Mk III-C Warbird:

(01) Well, this final model continued to add new & more powerful weapons to its wings, thanks to it remaining at 274.7 Meters,
up from the first model's 245.0 Meters!
(02) This model increased the height from 50.4 Meters to 67.4 Meters; this enabled the nose firepower increase by 2 weapons but with extremely more powerful weapons!
(03) The Length was increased from 497.25 Meters to 530.25 Meters; this created much needed space for 2 additional torpedo tubes in the aft section!
(04) Finally, this increase in surface area created 2 dorsal weapons, 1 port & 1 starboard; making the Griffin into a fine Warbird, a well rounded fighting machine!
