Description
This is the cover art I made for a book named The Book of the Sword: The Darkest Age Volume 2 by A.J. LakeI made this one for the German Edition by Ravensburger.
My original sketch for this cover looked like this:

But they wanted the dragon to be the center of attention so I came up with this... But having spent so much time
on the riders I couldn't bear to just get rid of them so I downscaled and placed them at the bottom. So I guess
the work I put in the original sketch was not a total waste of time
I'll send the volume three soon.

The website link for your sketch is down, but the finished product is beautiful. Very rich colors, and such striking lighting. What was the texture you laid over it? It really adds to the aged, medieval feel of this.
