Description
On the way home from teh UP I stopped at Hartwick Pines. I did not go see the pines because the bugs were SO bad I couldn't stand anymore by the time I finished with my first stop - I was lucky enough to walk into the Visitor's Center JUST as the Bog Tour was started, so I jumped in. It's a tiny little bog, but it was a nice small group and had some interesting plants I hadn't gotten to shoot before, and the interpreter was cute, so was worth it despite the the swarms of mosquitoes.

This is a cluster of Bog Rosemary (Andromeda polifolia) flowers. Wiki says it's not actually related to the herb rosemary but is in fact a heath. Learn something everyday.
