so like, when do they change actors? i don't really watch doctor who, so i don't understand the actor change too much.

in the show, the doctor "regenerates" when he's mortally wounded and changes his appearance and body to save himself. He keeps his memories but his personality usually changes. I think they wrote this in to keep the plot moving when actors had to quit, but I like it a lot
