When our powers combine!Created and sold at APE 2011. How can you show at APE and not bring something on the X-men front? It was really fun to make my own incarnations of these characters, putting little spins here and there and interpreting the how I choose. Such POWER.

I love when I come across something like this, a re-imaging of something you're familiar with. This is as fun as when I saw Tim Gunn on a YouTube video discussing superhero costume, his perspective fresh but respectful and fond of the media. As everyone else has already said this is amazing, I don't even enjoy myself this much in museums with famous works. I finally understand just sitting and staring at some finding something new and intriguing wherever the eye falls.Β

Thank you for sharing your talent with us! I wish I was present at APE to purchase this beauty. Your use of the medium seems flawless; the textures it creates are so dynamic. From the colors of the sky to the blood on Logan's shirt, it all makes for a dynamic piece.
And of course, I love the redesigns created here. The interpretation of Mystique's scales to look like tribal patterns is a nice touch. And Hank over there in the background wearing his cute little reading glasses? I just want to give him a gigantic hug!
But my favorite? Storm, of course. That may be slightly due to my bias of Storm being my favorite superhero of all time; nevertheless, she is rendered and designed so perfectly here. A beautiful woman deserves a beautiful outfit. You kept that tie-to-the-wrist cape that MAKES her and I love the African accents you gave the outfit. Plus, I can totally see this coming down the runway at NY Fashion Week or the like. Oh, and shoulder pads. Shoulder pads are making an epic comeback and you made it work!
