Description Baby sock Woola, the Calot from Barsoom - inspired by the John Carter of Mars stories by Edgar Rice Burroughs. I created him out of 4, thick socks, double-button eyes and teeth from a caveman costume necklace.

I'd LOVE to have a real baby calot pet! OMG! Well, I did write one into my little Barsoom short story (tribute to ERB's Mars tales). Her name is Willa! I can get the desire for just such a pet out of my system that way. LOL!!

How nice~ Do you use a machine to sew on the parts? I find hand sewing on limbs and the like ends up with less-than-desirable results so I'm getting s small hand-held sewing machine to see if it helps at all.

I feel the same. I never use a machine. It takes a lot longer to hand sew, but it gives SO much more control. Like sculpting the fabric, I like to say. Glad you like him. He was really difficult!! Probably the most difficult sock creature I've done to date.

Yeah. Though, my shoulders often feel like they are going to fall off after an hour or two of hand-sewing. x_x
It definitely looks like you put a lot of work into him. :3
