Here is my Super Sailor Jupiter cosplay, first worn at Nashville Anime Day on August 14th, 2010. (I'll be wearing it again at the NEXT Nashville Anime Day on January 15th, 2011!)

Here's the breakdown:
Skirt: Green broadcloth sewn onto a white band filled with quilt batting for dimension.
Shirt: Handmade from white stretchy cotton.
Sleeves: Made of same material as the shirt. A layer of quilt batting adds dimension.
Bows: Pink satin. Everything but the tails has a layer of lining ironed on inside to maintain shape.
Collar: Green broadcloth with white satin ribbon sewen on.
Boots: Originally brown (bought from goodwill). I sanded them, covered them with 3 layers of green fabric paint, then pierced them with an awl and laced them with the same satin ribbon from the collar.
Gloves: White satin bridesmaids' gloves w/ green broadcloth sewen on the ends. A layer of quilt batting was added between the layers of broadcloth for dimension
Heart Charm: Green Jade heart, purchased on Ebay.
Tiara: Hand-cut from aluminum sheeting, spray-painted gold. A green plastic charm was added with superglue and it is held on the forehead with spirit gum.
Earrings: Bought at Claire's
Hair Tie: Made out of two GIANT blue beads held together with an elastic band.
Collar: Green broadcloth with gold iron-on star.

It's VERY close to the source material as far as cosplays go. The only two things I really need are:
Sleeve adjustment: Everything is based on the "Super Sailor Jupiter" costume, but the sleeves are from the original.
Eyes: GOTTA get some green contacts for this.

I used this pattern while sewing. This (and the other senshi costumes posted) was actually my first experience sewing.

And sorry about the giant knee bandage - I'd lost a fight with a diving board the day before.
