Staring.
Always staring.
Always watching him with those blue blue eyes.
She never said anything though. Never greeted him, never called his name....just sitting there, nose in a book, but eyes on him.
Or so it seemed; whenever his two-toned gaze fell on her, she'd turn away, snapping shut those blue blue eyes with a deep blush under her fur.
He wondered why she did it; why she'd always look away like that. Had those books deprived her of social interaction?
Or was she simply afraid like the rest of them?

"Hey. Heeeey Iago."
"Huh?" Iago snapped back into focus, following the irritated tone that had cut through his thoughts. He frowned. "What, Siggy?"

A younger male at his side exhaled sharply. "Get a move on, will ya? I don't got all day here!"

That frown only deepened, but the older dog nodded nonetheless. "Right. Of course."
He took a step forward, casting one last fleeting glance at her back. He wondered if she'd heard the exchange between them.

Wondered if she knew he'd been staring at her.
