You know I've always been curious about Violet. She clearly has something different going
on compared to the rest of the family. She doesn't have the same hair color as either one
of her parents. And I dare say even her skin is a bit paler.Β
I've always theorized that Violet was adopted, but i'm not sure.Β

I don't think she's adopted because sometimes people can get genes from their grandparents or something like that. Maybe one of her family members has the same hair colour as her and she inherited it from them

Her character design reflects her personality and her powers. Ultra violet light causes color to fade, which would explain Violetβs pale skin. Iβm pretty sure her hair is violet because of her powers, similar to how Elsaβs hair is white because of her powers, which is why she doesnβt share her hair color with Anna or their parents. The genetic reasoning is similar to why Dash, Violet, and Jack-Jack donβt have the same powers as their parents.

Well, it has never came to my attention that her hair color is different, but now that you bring it up, it is odd. I don't think I'd go as far as saying she's adopted, possibly offspring of a different father. Though, your theory is actually about as possible as mine. Heroes were and are rare, so the odds are pretty low for either of the theories. Most likely she got her looks from further down the line.

If she is the daughter of another man, then Helen had either cheated on Bob (Mr Incredible) at some point before their marriage,
or she had Violet already before their marriage. The latter of which is unlikely since she mentions during the film that she had no
desires of stopping heroΒ work. It's a very curious subject indeed. Maybe Violet's hair color are the result of her powers somehow orΒ
something. Maybe she started off as a brunet like Helen, but then slowly gained raven colored hair as her powers grew, or she may
have just dyed her hair black, because of her timid nature and because she starts off as rather emo.Β
I'd say the last one is very possible. I believe many teenagers have been known to dye their hair or changed their looks to reflect
their moods.Β

Elastigirl is my momβs favorite character ever, so I got her one of the new Incredibles blind boxes for today. Β She didnβt get her, but was super excited anyway.
