Description
Title is a reference to the opening song of Kiss Me, Kate. I... don't quite know why I drew this. I was just kinda sitting in bed thinking "y'know, I should work on establishing shots if I'm gonna do this comic thing" and then this... appeared. It's too detailed for the style I'm using for the comic, that's for sure. Also it appears to be my old high school's stage, which is really weird because I only did one show there. You'd think I would've drawn the stage I spent like hundreds of hours on in college, but nope.

So let's talk about the art. This was a far less-detailed pencil sketch that I went over with ink pens. I also did all of this without a ruler or straight edge, though I absolutely should've been using one for the floorboards. I just... started adding details and didn't stop until I looked at what I'd done and thought "well, that's probably enough."
Also I learned from doing this that my pens like to feather on colored pencil paper (and mixed media paper, but less often), which kinda adds to the... interesting vibe we've got going on here.
