step by step typical example of how I work..always pencil...I'm handicapped drawing with the digital..
then I use photoshop cs5 for the colors... with aproximately 30-50 layers Β°-Β°
probably my process is very useless..
but no matter..

You have to make them two different layers, putting the lines above the colours, so as to not cover them up. meaning you will have to go over your pencil work in photoshop with a pencil or a small paintbrush creating a lined layer. Then make a layer underneath that layer and put the colours there.

consiglio del mio saggio e potente sensei... devi avere un referente..ovvero un artista/mangaka ke ti piace mooooolto con cui hai una grande affinitΓ e copiare da lui..
pose oggetti stile...tutto quanto! in modo da arricchire il tuo bagaglio mentale per poter poi essere indipendente dal referente e sviluppare il tuo stile personale..
l anatomia Γ¨ difficile, non puoi imparare senza un riferimento.
è importante ke tu abbia un solo e unico referente quindi fa attenzione alla scelta perkè non devi cambiarlo nella fase iniziale.
fidati, tutti i miei sensei sono global mangaka abbastanza famosi..forse non troppo in italia, ma pubblicano ovunque! XD

I love your style... I really hate working digitally as well. I definitely prefer traditional over digital anyways. I guess I am a sucker for the experience when you use your hands more than anything. I hate being slouched over trying to draw digitally on some little 5x7 scroll pad with a pen. Give me a light box, pens, markers, pencils and eraser and I am in heaven.
