I met this Cadet while visiting Orillia, Ontario, Canada, with family. She was in front of the Mariposa Market doing an annual fundraiser for the Navy League Cadet Corps. She answered my questions about the NLCC, why she joined, and what the future might have in store for her. Because I lost the notes of my interview I called and sent an image of the drawing to the Commanding Officer so the Cadet could be identified and delivery made. That's when I found out her sister, also a Cadet, is an identical twin!

N.L.C.C. Orillia is open for any child between 9-13. It is a group where kids are taught the basics of Canadian Naval Traditions, as well as parade drill, citizenship, seamanship, sailing and much more. It instills a level of self confidence, self discipline and respect for themselves and others.
