I had a coversation with my buddy Drew not too long ago and we walked around the comic shop talking about the Jokers teeth.We figure they should look like he's been doing nothing but poping pills, eating candy corn and joker fish.
Notice that I gave him red & green lips.
I've been seeing to many people adding the movie lips to my sketches when it didn't at all call for it.
Sorry to say it like that but it just lost it's appeal on me long ago.
... I bet this on will make it to ebay too.

There was a flood of people coloring my Joker sketches with the movie make-up around the time just before/during/and after the film came out when I clearly wasn't drawing the version of him... it was driving me nuts.

Yeah, I bet it's bad enough someone else trying to get credit for your work. But people have really spoiled the great idea TDK had for portraying the joker to the point where I'm bored of it. Your take on him has interested me in the character again

The majority of people asked first and gave me credit for the lines... but the majority also gave him the movie lips.
I'm glad you like my version of him, personally I can't wait to show more of my takes on the Batman characters and many more longstanding comic and cartoon characters.

After all the Joker pictures I've seen you do over the past however-long, I have to say...NOBODY does the Joker like you do. You should really get paid to do this. Like a full Joker comic book series or something. That would be epic. o.o

I do agree with what your saying if you wanted him to be the TDK Joker you'd draw that. I dont think anyone likes it when someone tampers with their work.
Especially when your avoiding a certain outcome :/

The design reminds me very much like The Batman Series but this piece pays omage to the Comic. I rather have this version of Joker than that bare footed jackass they put on the television.

That is so true. The joker is basically the definition of crazy: *nothing* he does should be normal.

As usual, your work is fantastic. I love the insanity in the face of the joker in your sketches, and I love the color work. Line work is very good as usual.

he reminds me a lot of the "Arkham Asylum" joker, which was the classic "Crazy-as-Fuck" joker, rather then TDK's brooding, creepy joker. not saying Heath Ledger didnt pull it off amazingly, but the old jack nicholson joker was a lot cooler.
