And here we are again...I'm still working on it a lot, mostly thanks to the super generous feedback from so many awesome DA members! I've got a long, long....LONG way to go...my brain hurts thinking about it. lol. and my wrists and eyeballs. BUT I feel like it's evolving into something so that's cool.What I've worked on the most:
Right wing and it's connection to the body - the scales are too defined I will be blending some of that texture in.
The dragon's body. Will be working on the scales and roundness feeling more. What do you think about the angle, i've had serious problems with it to be honest...it's hard and the main lesson I've been learning from this painting is "GET THE DRAWING RIGHT FIRST"
The warrior's legs, feet, pants belt and breastplate. The right shoulder guard is also new.
Some noodling on the hair and editing the clouds a little - but the environment is on the back burner right now.

Thanks! It's a mix of western dragon head/wings and the body and legs(sort of) of Asian dragons. The body is more serpent like...I hope that makes sense. Also I'm using sea horses, bats and fish as references so there are a lot of different sources haha! Oh but I did just notice where you might have thought it looked pinched, I didn't see that, thanks! It's where the bottom hand is on the left? I will fix it, it's just really unclear right now

if the dragon's body is making a "c" shape, it's on the inside of the "c" right? The warrior's knees are near that area if Im right. You've been helpful! not at all overbearing!

I'm so happy you liked the body work - it's not exactly like your drawing, I couldn't make it stay like that, I would have it and then once I started adding stuff it always moved a bit.
And yes I have to be bolder with my light and shadows...it's crying out for some dramatic lighting I think.

I guess like some spotted shadows like dappled sunlight type of thing...I wanted it to look like that but not sure how to do it yet. Taking a break today
