what it means the section in the gallery???

kil1k In reply to mclaranium [2006-01-24 08:31:14 +0000 UTC]
only colors and contrast....
but as it modify enough the photo, i prefer to be honest and put that in darkroom... to avoid people thinking my camera is special, or that i use special lens filter...
the raw photo is a normal photo, and i post process the colors in photoshop

Whoa, quite impressive! The 2 "black lines" create an impression of riding some sort of elevated train.

Très sympa, avec toutes ces lignes qui se reflètent, on a vraiment une impréssion de dynamisme. Par contre je n'aime pas trop la teinte sépia utilisée. J'aurai plus vu une teinte bleue.

The monochromish colors, the usual color corrections that you do increases the dramatic effects of any simple things but brining contrast to parts of which usually come unnoticed. The contrast of the handlebars, handrails, creates diagonals which causes a dynamic effect in the photo but with help of the angle ou took this picture at. The composite is to my favor becaue its just usuaing traditional center focal perspective point.
What is the word again, the point where it all comes together because our eyes can only see taht far. Anyways, the tilting of the camera just the slight tilt affects the awesome dynamics of the diagonal lines and creates a new way of seeing this and a mood and feeling of which things are not normal because this to me is already an abstract picture so the slight tilt is perfect.
The blur of what i tihnk is the side glass under the handrails and the moving walkway or escalatior i suppose is a great way of abstracting and making what is so dull and boring into a surreal fantasy, it also creates a sense of motion of whichw hen i look deep into it my body moves forward along with the motion that is perceived through the image.
A lot of stright lines in this image, a lot of 4 sided figures, polygons and such. Also at the top where there are sort of three what i consider rectangles where there is a huge white bar taht goes across and there is one more behind it with a darkened window or another area for shopping is a nice addiction to just having that being white. Though it sorta draws my eyes away from the main point. But tehn again maybe that is the whole esscence of the photo.
One last thing... YOU TAKE A CAMERA TO A SUPERMARKET?!?! AND EVERYWHERE YOU GO!?! YOU ARE MY HERO! haha I love it when people have cameras with them everywhere they go. I do that a lot to. People ask me why I do that and then I respond "Have you ever had those times where you just stop and say, Man that would be a nice picture, It is so beautiful?" If they say yes... then they just answered thier own question, if they say no, then i respond "Someone needs God in thier life" This may not make sense to you but it make me chuckle, sort of an inside joke. haha.
Great photo by the way. Yet another great work by you. *bows*
