A wonderful pic drawn by =-lildragon- for me of my characters Hiro and Kilara, but she said that she couldn't finish colouring it, so I did. =^_^=
I really wanted to play with more colours here... I tried to make it a cool pic, but useing some warm type colours to make that feeling.... I dunno if I got that effect, but I am happy with the turnout... I also coloured this at a much higher resolution then the rest of my pics, so things look kinda wierd to me.
and yes those candles are lit with ice... They are kinda in a winter utopia, so ice candles were a different approach... XD

Their eyes are stunning, and the warm colors give a sense of relaxation and happiness. That and the smiles and tea give that impression as well. XD The backround seems empty, but that is easy to ignore, it all fits. Very nice.

The colors are nice and soft, but her ice blue eyes seem to overpower a bit, maybe fading them a little bit more could have made it look more fitting.

I totally love the colors you used in the whole drawing, they look armonious... I'm just doubtfull about one thing: The eyes of Hiro, I don't know what doesn't fits me... Maybe the difference in value of each one, or of emphasis, I don't know..

My only tip is to look to the great artists of the past... like I have learned from the expressionists that useing pure black and white in a pic makes it feel flat... or even useing black and white for shading... instead use purple/blue for shades, and light yellows for the light...

The eyes are the way =-lildragon- drew them... and I dun believe in changing the lines much in a pic someone else drew for me... and if it is the colour, trust me, it is a lot more dulled down then it used to be... XD
