All the 1st founding chapters are WELL cataloged, them being the only ones around at the time of the Horus Heresy. Then they were legions - ten thousand Marines per legion. The only 1st founding chapters are those that retained their legion name, viz Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Ultramarines, etc. The 2nd founding chapters were what was left of the Legions after the 1st founding chapters were chosen. Examples would be Black Templars, Angels Sanguine, Doom Eagles, Angels of Absolution, Storm Lords, etc.
All additional foundings were mandated by the Lords of Terra. (With one or two official exceptions.)
Heads look small compared to armored space marines, given that they are wearing inches of reactive armor and that they are augmented from normal humans so their heads would probably look a little small to begin with. Helmets on the other hand look proportional to their armor.
Also, I too have a chapter "Archangels". Their full name is the "Bloodied and Unforgiven Archangels" but that is just TOO long, but is about as pretentious as the rest of 40k... My chapter is a Dark-Angels descendant, resplendent in their crimson armor with grey trim and a modified Dark Angels logo - a sword through the winged circle that appears on lots of chests of space marines. The logo is slightly different for each Company, the above being the 1st Company, and then all the other companies put the number of stars on their pauldrons (equidistant from each other) of their Company. The 10th company has just the sword and ten stars.
Your design is pretty cool though. Why did you go with the crusader-pattern helmet and not just the standard helmet or the old "beakie"?

Hah. Helmet and bolter style from back in the Horus Heresey. Remember, Space marines are completely unproportional in comparison to normal humans, so the head is a bit too large. Other than that, great job.

really? i always thought the heads were inky dinky compared to their bodies, especially on terminators.
though, this one does look kind of proportionate

Sweet idea! I love the fact that they don't treat the emperor like a god but as the greatest warrior ever. When I first heard the name Arch Angels Marines I got a little worried. I kinda have an idea that has a similar name but after reading this I relaxed. My idea is still safe. Mind you I have no thoughts to create a new chapter. It's more of one person..........

Excellent work here. The knight aspect has been done before, as has the Inquisition trying to bite into the Adeptus Astartes for their divergent behavior, but I enjoyed the passiveness of the Arch Angels' attitude towards the official "religion" of the Imperium. It gives a nice βgray areaβ to the strictness the Space Marines normally conduct themselves with.

Awh heck, they were being Knights before it was cool. Their planet was much like fuedalistic England before the Emperor came. And yeah, the Inquistion does try and pry into things that don't concern them. They do it to alot of the Space Marine Chapters, the Black Templars included. I didn't want to leave the Angels out off the loop, I mean, what makes them so special the Inquistion leave them alone? XD

Try the Games Workshop website.

Otherwise, you're better off with buying the rule book or any of the army books.
